Da Bova, la Chora dei Greci di Calabria, si procede in direzione campo sportivo e, dopo circa un chilometro sulla sinistra, all’altezza di contrada Mandudduru, si prende la vecchia strada sterrata che collega i borghi di Bova e Amendolea. L’itinerario, segue un tratto del Sentiero dell’Inglese, che ripercorre le orme del celebre viaggiatore, artista e scrittore inglese dell'800 Edward Lear. Offre meravigliosi scenari sulla Vallata e sui meandri della grande Fiumara Amendolea e passa dal Castello dell'Amendolea che affascina per i ruderi del suo antico borgo e della chiesa. Dopo una ripida discesa, si arriva al paese quasi abbandonato di Amendolea Vecchia costruito in prossimità dei bergamotteti piantati lungo la fiumara. Rientro a Bova lungo lo stesso itinerario dell’andata, oppure da una variante passando da Località Brigha.

From Bova, the Chora of the Greeks of Calabria, go towards the sports field and after about one kilometer, on the left, at the level of the Contrada Mandudduru, take the old dirt road that connects the villages of Bova and Amendolea. The route follows part of the Englishman's Path, which retraces the footsteps of the famous 19th century English traveler, artist and writer Edward Lear. It offers a wonderful view of the valley and the meanders of the great Fiumara Amendolea, passing by the castle of Amendolea, fascinating for the ruins of its ancient village and church. After a steep descent you reach the almost abandoned village of Amendolea Vecchia, built near the bergamot plantations along the Fiumara. The return to Bova is along the same route as the departure, or in a different way through Località Brigha.
